Huh. Foreign is now synonymous with "not American". Good to know.

As to the question- I can't think of any movie that should get an "American remake". Hollywood screws up it's own stories (for a given value of the word) badly enough as it is.

i'm 90% sure they won't try to remake Amelie. mostly because it's too quirky, too happy, and the main character isn't a dead-eyed sexpot with collagen-inflated faux-lips. also, there are no robots, zombies, explosions, or ninjas.
so hopefully it's safe!

if, however, there is some misguided attempt, i will protest as loudly and vigorously as i am able.

also, didn't you know that AMERIKUH is the new default? they sent out memos. i know because i cut mine into little confett-sized pieces, set them on fire, and then flushed them down the toilet.
